About Us

Ultimate Safaris is the result of a merger between two successful Namibian companies who both specialised mainly in private guided safaris. SandyAcre Safaris and Tou Safaris decided to join forces during 2007, but only completed the process in 2008. Through this merger we have been able to combine our varied experiences in Namibian and southern African tourism over 15 years as well as pooling our skills and resources.

The new venture continues to offers exclusive tailor-made safaris with meticulous attention to detail and local knowledge, providing unparalleled and memorable experiences of our specialized destinations. This is made possible by our team of highly experienced consultants and guides, who all live and work in the region.

We offer not only the finest portfolio of camps (including our own fully serviced mobile camps), lodges, hotels and employ the best guides, but also an unequalled level of personal attention so as to maintain the highest standards when we plan and organize personal safaris. Ultimate Safaris offers both safaris of a general nature and in all specialisations except hunting. Your visit will be meticulously planned and efficiently conducted so as to maximize your enjoyment and minimize problems. We also subscribe to environmentally friendly practices.

We specialize in small groups of 2 – 12 people. As such you are assured of personal attention with full consideration of your every need. However, larger groups are accommodated on request. Ultimate Safaris is registered with the NTB (Namibia Tourism Board) and a member of TASA (Tour & Safaris Association of Namibia) and ATTA (Advancing Tourism To Africa). In fact, during 2008, our founders acted as both Chairman of TASA and President of FENATA (Federation of Namibian Tourism Associations) the umbrella organisation for the private sector of the Tourism Industry. In addition, two of our staff members are also on the Board of NATH (Namibian Academy of Tourism and Hospitality) responsible for guide training and educational standards.
