Ultimate Safaris specialises in safaris through Namibia, Botswana and Zambia. However, we also offer safaris in a number of other African countries which are often used in combination with our main areas of operation.
This cutting edge technology enables you, our potential guest, to view 360º virtual tours of some of the locations you may or will be visiting. These tours are designed to give the viewer an accurate impression of the beauty and magnificence of these locations.
These sightings reports are prepared by our specialist guides, with the assistance of our guests, after each and every guided safari. This enables you to keep up to date with wildlife and other extraordinary sightings that have occurred on our safaris.
Ultimate Safaris offers a number of different safari types and modes of transport, ranging from guided ground based, scheduled, guided fly-in, unaccompanied fly-in, self-drive, birding, and other specialist safaris. We also offer complete solutions for film crews wanting to work in Namibia

Our Fleet

Our standard 4x4 safari vehicles are Toyota Land Cruisers (station wagons and specially modified 8&10-seaters with pop-top roofs, which are ideal for photographic safaris) which have been selected for comfort, safety and reliability. These vehicles have been specially modified so that every guest has a comfortable window seat with good support. They also carry second batteries for fridge/freezers, lights and camera battery charging, long range fuel tanks and plenty of water.

Most also have VHF inter-vehicle radios that allow multi vehicle groups to communicate with each other while ‘on the road’. These radios also enable us to communicate with local rangers in the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, ensuring that those ‘special’ sightings are never missed when you are in the area. We also have satellite telephones which can be booked and used when deemed to be necessary.

On camping safaris we use off-road trailers to carry all the gear necessary to set up comfortable and well equipped mobile camps. This removes the need to pack everything in and on the safari vehicle itself, leaving much more space for passengers to travel in comfort.

For airport transports we have very comfortable VW T5 Combis.
