04.09.2017 / CHEETAH VIEW LODGE - Colleen, July 2017

·What we loved: spacious & clean rooms, friendly staff & the sundowner Serengeti drive. At the CCF day center itself they have a fantastic state of the art genetics lab, delicious locally produced goats cheese products at the local creamery, well-priced café with a variety of meal options & variety of activities and loads of interesting info regarding cheetah conservation!

·Keep in mind: it’s a fair detour if only including a day visit and feel guests who are particularly interested in CCF and their conservation efforts will get more out of the entire experience if they overnight and enjoy a full ay there.

·Mmmmh: Although the cheetah feeding may not be to everyone’s taste it is one of the better performed ‘feeding’ tours. The Cheetah drive does allow great photographic opportunities for those who want to get close up shots of the cheetah (without collars). I personally prefer seeing animals in their natural habitat but can appreciate organizations such as CCF and the magnificent work they do towards the preservation of this remarkable animal – guests expectations need to be set.

·Insider tips: Fill out the online indemnity form prior to your arrival for a day visitor, as this will save you time. I believe that at an additional cost you can have Lauri Marker join you for dinner, provide she is available. This is highly recommended if you overnighting as you can then learn first-hand the ins & outs of CCF.
