·What we loved: Gorgeous main area (tastefully decorated), large well-appointed beautiful rooms with outside private plunge pool and ‘sala’ (where they can offer massage treatments), yummy meal (although we only had lunch), well equipped gym and sauna. Beautiful landscape and unique hide. Wide variety of general game. Warm hospitality & they will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable.

·Keep in mind: bathroom (shower & bath) is open plan onto the bedroom (toilet is separate with a door) so this is something to consider if you have sharing guests who are not a fan of an ‘open bathroom’.

·Mmmmh: wasn’t a fan of the converted combi for the game drive but I believe their normal cruiser vehicle was in for a service?! The game drive however was excellent, we saw quite a lot, both mammals and bird species.

·Insider tips: Great option for guests who have the budget and want luxury accommodation at the start or end of their trip to unwind. If they on a fly-in basis (private charter) rather offer the option of a pickup/drop off at their Otjibondona airstrip instead of driving all the way back to HKIA. It’s also an option to consider when you have guests who want to see meerkats in their natural environment as they have a bench situated near the Meerkat den (which is within walking distance from the lodge) but keep in mind that this can never be guaranteed and depends if the den is active.
